We are passionate about great cheese and pride ourselves on our fantastic range of over 90 cheeses in store. Below are a few of our longstanding favourites that we regularly stock. Please note that our range in store is subject to availability or season and may vary week to week. We like to rotate some of the cheeses in our range to keep things interesting!

Traditional French brie, made by the 'undisputable' kings of Brie de Meaux, the Donge family who have been producing this wonderful cheese since 1930.

BARON BIGOD 'BRIE'

This is a creamy, unpasteurised brie style cheese made on Fen Farm in Bungay, Suffolk.

BARNCLIFFE BRIE

Yorkshire brie. Made in Shelley, Huddersfield, this is a mild and creamy brie made using rich local milk.

DURRUS

A semi-soft washed rind cows milk cheese from Durrus village in County Cork, Ireland. Durrus is strong in flavour and has a milky and buttery paste.

GUBBEEN

This is a surface-ripened, semi-soft, cows milk washed rind cheese made in West Cork, Ireland. Gubbeen has mushroomy flavours and a slightly nutty aftertaste. Incredibly moreish.

TALEGGIO

The classic Italian semi-soft and washed-rind cheese named after the valley of its origin - Val Taleggio. Taleggio has a strong smell but is much milder in taste with a fruity tang. Also a great melting cheese.

TOMME DE SAVOIE

From the stunning mountainous region of Savoie in France, this cheese originated as a by-product of making large mountain cheeses like Beaufort. A clean, buttery flavour with mushroomy notes and hints of that classic alpine nuttyness.

YORKSHIRE PECORINO FRESCO

Made in Adel, just outside of Leed's by Mario Olianas. This is a young pecorino, it is only aged for 30 days giving it yoghurty and sweet flavours with a smooth semi-soft texture.
Pateurised sheep's milk.

Savoury, rich and sweet. This is a washed rind sheep's cheese that is made on Holker Farm, in Cartmel, Cumbria.

ISLE OF MULL CHEDDAR

A strong and full flavoured cheddar that is slightly dried in texture than some of our others. It has a punchy flavour which is rich, savoury and boozy. Made near Tobermory, Isle of Mull, Scotland.

ST.ANDREW'S CHEDDAR

Classically Scottish in style. St.Andrew's is aged for 14 months giving it powerful, tangy and sharp flavours. Made in Anstruther, Fife, Scotland.

WOOKEY HOLE CHEDDAR

This wonderful farmhouse Cheddar is aged in the Wookey Hole Caves, West Country. This unique maturing process allows the cheese to retain moisture and develop an earthy characteristic, nutty flavours and a wonderful creaminess.

LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER

Traditional Lincolnshire Poacher which is aged for 14-16 months, plenty of upfront flavour and a good bite. It's texture is smooth, close and densely creamy and is often compared to a french comte.

HAFOD CHEDDAR

A Welsh organic Cheddar, hand-made by the Holden family from the milk of their Ayrshire herd. Buttery, rich and nutty. Holden farm dairy is Wales longest certified organic dairy farm and is situated around 10 miles from the Ceredigion Coast.

DALE END CHEDDAR

Traditional clothbound Cheddar made in Yorkshire by Camphill Village Trust who support people with learning and other disabilities.  Dale end is a mature cheddar with a rich and long lasting flavour.

KIRKHAM'S LANCASHIRE

A classic and Mrs Kirkham's is by far the best! made to the same traditional recipe for three generations in the village of Goosnargh, Lancashire. They are the last farmhouse producer of raw milk Lancashire cheese. Buttery, yoghurty and light.

APPLEBY'S CHESHIRE

The Appleby family have made Cheshire on their farm since 1952. This is the last raw milk, clothbound Cheshire made in England today, it is crumbly, rich and has a slightly juicy acidity to it.

RICHARD III WENSLEYDALE

A traditional, cloth-bound, cows’ milk cheese, made in North Yorkshire. It is moist, creamy, and with a honeyed flavour and lower acidity than modern mass-produced Wensleydales.

GORWYDD CAERPHILLY

Traditional recipe Caerphilly now made in Somerset as the cheesemakers searched for the best quality milk. This cheese presents flavours which are fresh and richly lactic at the centre; closer to the rind the flavour becomes more mushroomy, savoury, and earthy.

SPARKENHOE VINTAGE RED LEICESTER

This is the only unpasteurised farmhouse red Leicester made in the world. This version of Sparkenhoe red Leicester is the vintage profile; aged for 18 months, which gives it a strong, powerful flavour. Made in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire.

PEAKLAND WHITE

This crumbly, slightly salty white cheese is aged for 2 weeks. The result of this shorter ageing process is a fresh and clean tasting cheese, wonderful to eat on its own but also an interesting substitute for feta. Made with local Derbyshire milk.

CORNISH YARG

Cornish Yarg is a nettle wrapped semi hard cheese made from grass rich Cornish milk. Tangy under its natural rind and slightly crumbly in the core, it consistently wins top international awards.

YORKSHIRE BLUE

Yorkshire blue is made by Shepherd's purse cheeses in Thirsk. This cheese is made with milk from Yorkshire cow's and is mild and creamy with uniform veining throughout.

HARROGATE BLUE

Made by Shepherd's purse cheeses in Thirsk. Harrogate blue was judged to be the 11th best cheese in the world at the Global cheese awards in 2017, a huge achievement for this luxuriously creamy blue cheese.

LEED'S BLUE

Rich, creamy and piquant, Leed's blue is made by the same cheesemaker that produces Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco. Leed's blue is made using fresh sheep's milk from Harrogate and cultures imported from Italy, follwing an adapted gorgonzola recipe.

PICOS DE EUROPA

Wrapped in maple leaves, this intensely rich blue is made in the mountainous Picos region in Spain and is made with 90% cow's milk and topped up with 10% goat's milk. It has a drier texture that some of our other blue cheeses and it is salty and nutty with a buttery melting texture.

MONTAGNOLO

Montagnolo Affine is a German triple crème soft cheese that is surface ripened and is marbled with blue veins, with a grey natural crust. This is a very mild blue - perfect for someone looking to get into blue cheese!

BEENLEIGH BLUE

A truly stunning cheese. Beenleigh is made at Ticklemore Dairy in Totnes, Devon. It is yoghurty and tangy in flavour with only delicate blue veining through it and it has a crumbly but moist texture.

Pasteurised sheep's milk and suitable for vegetarians.

SKEGNESS BLUE

Skegness blue is always popular on the counter for its name, but our customers always come back asking for more! This handmade blue from Lyme Bank Farm is similar to a blue brie, wonderfully creamy and salty with a slightly granular texture through it.

COLSTON BASSETT STILTON

Wonderfully traditional Stilton. We source Colston Bassett from Neal's Yard Dairy who have worked with the cheesemaker of this Stilton over the years to have their own perfected recipe supplied to them - in other words, this particular Colston Bassett really is the best you will find. Buttery and silky in texture with plenty of flavour.

HARTINGTON STILTON

This award winning Stilton is made at Hartington creamery, using local Derbyshire milk. It is matured for around 9 weeks to create this particularly creamy and tangy cheese.

STICHELTON

Raw milk, Stilton-recipe blue cheese had been extinct for 18 years until Joe Schneider began making it at Stichelton Dairy in 2006. Stichelton is the old name for the town of Stilton and was therefore an obvious choice when naming this delicious cheese. It has a juicy acidity and toasty, biscuity notes towards the rind. The texture tends to be soft and creamy.

KILLEEN GOAT'S GOUDA

Killeen is by far on of our personal favourites. This semi-hard goat's cheese is made in Galway, Ireland by a Dutch lady called Marion Roeleveld and is matured for 8 months longer than normal Killeen (11 months in total) by our supplier resulting in a beautiful depth of flavour and sweetness. This is definitely one to try even for those who are new to goats cheese.

WYNGAARD GOAT'S GOUDA

A full creamy tasting goats cheese with hints of walnut and creme fraiche on the finish. A world Champion awarded goats cheese in 2016.

CABRA AL VINO CAMPOLLANO

Young and fresh tasting Spanish goats cheese washed in La Mancha red wine . Cabra has a beautiful fruity aroma, and a texture that isn't dissimilar to a Manchego, we're yet to find anyone who hasn't enjoyed this wonderful cheese!

WOOKEY HOLE GOAT CHEDDAR

A wonderfully moist and slightly crumbly goats cheese that is matured in the Wookey Hole Caves. This goat cheddar has a subtle and slightly sweet flavour.

30 MONTH AGED PARMESAN

A beautiful Parmesan with an intense flavour, from a small Parmigiano-Reggiano farm just outside of Parma, one of only four producers left who make this cheese using milk from the rare breed of Italian Brown Cow.

OLD WINCHESTER

which is aged for 20 months, it has a strong, caramelised and smoky flavour with crystalline crunches running through it. Works brilliantly as a vegetarian substitute for Parmesan.

Made with 4% real truffle by the Villecco family in Serrenti, Sardinia. Fresh truffle is added at the start of the cheese making process, resulting in an incredibly intense truffle flavour that complements the richness of the sheep's milk.
